Anna Susanna Weers was born Nov. 18, 1886, to George Weers and Ernestine (Klatt) Weers about 10 miles southwest of Auburn. She was baptized on Dec. 12, 1886 by Pastor J. H. Dirks in St. John Evangelical Church (Stone Church). She was instructed and confirmed on March 31, 1901, by Pastor Dirks; confirmation verse was Matthew 11:28-29. She was married to George F. Aden of Sterling Dec. 12, 1907, in the St. John Evangelical Church by Pastor Dirks. She lived in Adams and Sterling community all her married life. She moved to Sterling in 1919. Mr. and Mrs. Aden were privileged to celebrate their Golden Wedding Anniversary in Sterling Dec. 12, 1957. She is survived by her son Alfred of Boulder, Colorado and her daughter, Mrs. Edmund (Lucile) Juilfs, Sterling, one daughter, Evelyn, born Nov. 1, 1908 died Easter Sunday at the age of eight years. She was preceded in death by her husband, who died Dec. 31, 1963, her parents, three brothers and four sisters. She had three grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. She was a member of St. John American Lutheran Church, Sterling. Services were held Saturday, March 29, at 2p.m. at St. John American Lutheran Church, with Rev. Don Wilken officiating. Pallbearers were David Schuster, Harvey Giesmann, Jerry Aden, Steven Smay, Michael Smay. Honorary pallbearers were Kevin Smay and Allen Aden. Mrs. Dwight Weiss was organist and Mrs. Harvey Giesmann sang "Jesus Still Leads On" and "The Old Rugged Cross". Mrs. Aden was laid to rest in the Church Cemetery. Zink Mortuary was in charge of arrangements.
