Reverend Charles Thompson officiated the 10.30 a.m. services from the United Methodist Church in Coon Rapids. Sam and Corrine Cretsinger were vocalists and Lula Garnes was organist. Anna Tekla Lorraine, the daughter of Charles A. and Bertha Lofdahl Christenson, was born April 2, 1918 at Craig, Nebraska. When she was a small child her family moved to Kansas to farm. After a number of years they returned to Oakland, Nebraska where Lorraine attended school and graduated from high school. She went to Omaha as a young woman to live with her aunt She worked for various families and during the war managed the cafeteria for Jubilee Manufacturing Company. Lorraine was an an active member of the Evangelical Covenant Church. While living and working in Omaha, she was introduced to her hairdresser's brother, Squire Davis. Lorraine and Squire were united in marriage on December 31, 1950. They made their home on a farm northwest of Coon Rapids in the Old Carrollton area. Lorraine was a homemaker and during the harvest season she worked for Garst & Thomas Seed Corn Company. Her membership and activities in the United Methodist Church were very important to her. She was a member of the Carrollton Community Club. She enjoyed reading, photography and walking in the rural countryside. She was proud of the family history she put together of the Christenson and Lofdahl families. Because she was suffering from Alzheimer’s Disease, she became a resident of the Thomas Rest Haven in 1993. Her physical health began to fail only several months before her death there on Wednesday, July 17, 1996 at the age of 78 years, three months and 15 days. Lorraine was preceded in death by her parents, a brother, John Christenson, and his wife,Carol. Lorraine is survived by her husband, Squire Davis of Coon Rapids, a son, Paul Davis and his wife, Lee Ann, of Coon Rapids; a daughter, Sharon Davis, of Omaha, Ne.; three grandchildren: Paige, Wynne and Wyatt; a brother, Ludwig Christenson and his wife, Helen of Omaha, Ne.; two sisters: Charlotte and her husband, Jack Titus, of Bella Vista, Ar.; and Vclore and her husband, Milton Benson, of Omaha, Ne.; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
