Description	:	Anna was born to Joshua Canby Gilpin and Sarah Ann Gilpin, who were cousins. Joshua and Sarah's fathers were brothers, Bernard and Joseph Gilpin, the sons of Sarah Gregg (1743-1801) and Gideon Gilpin (1738-1825) of Birmingham, Chester County, Pennsylvania. Anna was married to Samuel Willson of Rockville, Maryland, on Jan 1, 1857. Samuel was born on the Rockville family farm and lived all his life there as a prosperous farmer. Dr. Samuel Canby Willson, MD, b. 1864; d. 1924 in Anderson, Indiana; m1. Anna G. Schlater in 1896, one child; m2. Florence Lee Armington, one child. 3. George Arthur Willson, b. 1868; d. 1953 in Wheaton, Maryland; m. Sarah R. Forsyth on Jan. 8, 1896. They had three children. 4. Mary Slemmer Willson, b. 1871; d. 1960 in Baltimore; m. Luther M. Muncaster in 1896. They had one child. 5. Jane Willson, b. 1872; no additional information known to me. All the children were born on the Rockville farm. Sadly, husband Samuel died young, at the age of 42, on Nov. 20, 1872. Anna was later remarried to the widower, Thomas Joshua Lea, in 1885. Thomas' first wife was Anna's cousin, Fanny Gilpin, who had died two years earlier in 1883. Anna and Thomas did not have additional children together. Anna died in 1914, at the age of 75. Thomas survived her by 23 years, passing away at the age of 98, in 1937.
