Milton Elford arrived on Sunday from Port Arthur Ont on account of his mother’s illness, reaching here shortly before her death. Mrs. Elford’s sisters, Mrs. Albert Wolfe, of Regina, Sask., and Mrs. W. B. Taylor, of Welland, were also here for the funeral. Mrs. Wolfe is remaining for a week’s visit. Mrs. Elford’s sisters, Mrs. Albert Wolfe, of Regina, Sask., and Mrs. W. B. Taylor, of Welland, were also here for the funeral. Mrs. Wolfe is remaining for a week’s visit. The many friends of the family of William Elford will sympathize with them in the loss sustained by the death of Mrs. Elford, at the family home on the town line in Gosfield South on Sunday evening last, after a week’s illness from typhoid fever. Mrs. Elford had been troubled with her heart for some time past, but was not considered serious till she took ill about a week before her death with flu, which developed into typhoid. Mrs. Elford’s maiden name was Alberta Mustard, a daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Geo. Mustard and she was born in Norwich, 58 years ago last April. The family moved to this section when she was a girl and she has resided here ever since. Married to Wm. Elford, 38 years ago, she was the mother of 13 children, of whom three are deceased. The living ones being: - Wilfrid, at Elford; Myrtle, (Mrs. Frank Rounding) of Colchester North; Mark, of Maldstone; Milton, of Port Arthur, Ont; Lena (mrs. W. Taylor) and Fred of Windsor; Roy, Winnifred, Percy and Cecil, at home. She also leaves three brothers and four sisters – Ernest, of Windwor; Vernal, Detroit; Arthur, Killarney, Man.; Belle (Mrs. Sam Piper) of Olinda; Alfretta (Mrs. Andrew Wagner) of Essex; Sara (Mrs. Albert Wolfe) of Regina, Sask.; and Ada (Mrs. W. B., Taylor of Welland. Another sister, Mary, (Mrs. John Weybarn) is deceased. The funeral took place on Tuesday afternoon with services at the family home conducted by Rev. T. C. Wilkinson and interment in Kingsville Cemetery. The pall bearers were Geo. A. Salter, T. W. Weyburn, Wm. Parker, Thos. McBeth, Ed.
