Leaves Great-Great-Grand-Children and Many Descendants. Mrs. Annie E. White, one of the oldest residents of Columbiana county, died at the home of her daughter, Mrs. John Borton, near New Waterford, at 7:20 o’clock this morning. Mrs. White was 95 years of age and was born and raised in Columbiana county and lived near New Waterford the greater portion of her lifetime. Born in 1815. Annie E. Greenemeyer was a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Daniel Greenemeyer, and was born on a farm in Unity township on Sept. 22, 1815. The farm is now owned by John Grossman and is located about two miles above New Waterford. When 11 years of age the Greenemeyer family removed to Mahoning county, where Daniel Greenemeyer was killed while working at his trade of carpenter, and was at the time raising a barn. Annie Greenemeyer was married at the age of 20 to John White at Petersburg, O., and ten children were born to the union, seven of whom survive as follows: Mrs. Elizabeth Mayes, East Liverpool; Mrs. Mary A. McCoy, East Liverpool; Mrs. George Feezel, Clarkson; Mrs. Nancy Morland, East Carmel, O.; Mrs. Fanny Borton, New Waterford; John W. White, East Fairfield, and Kersey White, New Waterford. Leaves 151 Descendants. Mrs. White also leaves 50 grandchildren, J. K. Mayes of Chester, W.Va., being one of them, also 90 great-grandchildren and four great-great-grandchildren. The little daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Urban Mayes of the East End, East Liverpool, is a great-great-granddaughter of Mrs. White. Husband Was Killed. Mrs. White had the raising of her large family practically alone, her husband, John White enlisted in the army during the war of the rebellion and was in Company C, Seventy-Sixth Ohio regiment. He was so severely injured during a conflict that he died in 1864 in Nashville, Tenn. Mrs. White was a sturdy, conscientious and religious woman. She had joined the Methodist Episcopal church while residing at Petersburg, O., at the age of 11 years and was a consistent member all her lifetime. At New Waterford and East Fairfield even in her last days she paid a great deal of attention to the church work in those communities. Wanted to Live. About two months ago she failed in health, having up till that time shown remarkable vitality and a wonderful possession of all her faculties. She had a vivid memory and her grandchildren and great-grandchildren loved to visit her and have her relate incidents of her earlier life. She suffered but little during her last illness which was simply a wearing out. Nevertheless she kept cheerful and happy and about a month ago when her grandson, Mr. Mayes of this city, visited her, she made the remark that she had always enjoyed living and enjoyed her children and hoped for a few more happy years to come. The funeral services are to be held from the Methodist Episcopal church at East Fairfield Friday. The funeral cortege will leave the Borton home at 11 o’clock Friday morning and go to the church.
