Description	:	Anna Mollie Bretz, 82, of Sterling, died April 18, 1996 in Ster ling. Visitation is today until 8 p.m., with a rosary and vigil service at 7 p.m., both at the Tennant-Funeral Home. Funeral mass will be at 10 a.m., Saturday at St. Anthony's Catholic Church with the Rev. Thomas S. Fryer officiating. Burial will follow at Riverside Cemetery. She grew up and attended school in various towns in northeast Colorado. She married Nicholas Bretz on Jan. 22, 1935 in Iliff. They lived in Julesburg, and then they moved to Ovid where they remained until moving to Sterling in 1989. The couple worked with beets and farmed in the community. She enjoyed making quilts and canning. She was a charter member of the Daughters of St. Anne's in Julesburg and a member St. Anthony's Catholic Church. She is survived by her husband, Nicholas of Sterling; four daughters, Joan Cederquist and husband Alvin of Vista, Calif., Anita Bretz of Arvada, Christine Bretz of Lakewood and Cecilia Purdy of Thornton; three sons, Nicholas and wife Barbara of Arvada, Donald and wife Carol of Arvada and John and wife Barbara of Fort Morgan; four sisters, Katherine Sanger of Sterling, Christine Miller of Grand Junction, Theresa Gatewood of Denver and Rose Yakel of Thornton; three brothers, Joseph Lechman of Sterling, John Lechman of Dresser, Wis., and Jacob Lechman of Orange, Calif.; 14 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a son, George, in 1946, and two sisters. Memorials may be made to the Central Association of the Miracubus Medal, 475 E. Chelten Ave., Philadelphia, PA, 19144-5785 or a charity of choice.
