Published Thursday, January 29, 1942 in THE EVENING TIMES, Cumberland, Maryland on page 15, col. 1. OBITUARY Mrs. Albert A. Doub, Sr. Mrs. Anne Peyton (Cochran) Doub, wife of former judge Albert A. Doub, Sr., 403 Washington street, died yesterday afternoon after being stricken at noon. A native of Staunton, Va., Mrs. Doub was a daughter of George M. and Margaret (Peyton) Cochran. She married in Staunton, Va., in 1900 and came to this city as a bride. Mrs. Doub was a member of the Cresap Chapter, Daughters of the American Revolution in which she held various offices. Mrs. Doub organized the Garden section of the Women's Civic Club and had been chairman of the group eight years. She was a charter member of the Women's Civic Club. She was active in the Red Cross and the Republican Women's Club. A member of Emmanuel Episcopal Church, Mrs. Doub was prominent in the work of the Women's auxiliary and the Guild. An artist, Mrs. Doub has exhibited her oil and water color pictures in this city, Baltimore, Washington and Hagerstown. Besides her husband, Mrs. Doub in survived by four children, Miss Anne Peyton Doub, Miss Elizabeth B. Doub, at home and Albert A. Doub, Jr. attorney, this city, and George Cochran Doub, attorney, Baltimore; two step-daughters, Mrs. J. Bannister G. Roberts, Woodbury, Conn., and Mrs. Lester G. Sigourney, Bristol, Conn.; two brothers, Peyton Cochran, Staunton, Va., and John B. Cochran, Washington; one sister, Mrs. Hilleary, Staunton, and five grandchildren, Anne, Sophie and George Doub, Baltimore and William and Mary Peyton Doub, this city.
