Description	:	Nettie was born September 9, 1911 to Johann and Caroline (Shempp) Hauck. She was the youngest of 11 children born on the family farm near Utica, SD where she spent her early years. She was united in marriage to Homer J. Stark on February 10, 1932 at Trinity Lutheran Church, Yankton, SD. They raised three children and farmed near Utica, SD before moving to Yankton in 1951. Nettie lived her life focused on her family. She cherished her grandchildren and great grandchildren and they her. She was a very giving and caring mother and grandmother. ... Read More	Nettie was born September 9, 1911 to Johann and Caroline (Shempp) Hauck. She was the youngest of 11 children born on the family farm near Utica, SD where she spent her early years. She was united in marriage to Homer J. Stark on February 10, 1932 at Trinity Lutheran Church, Yankton, SD. They raised three children and farmed near Utica, SD before moving to Yankton in 1951. Nettie lived her life focused on her family. She cherished her grandchildren and great grandchildren and they her. She was a very giving and caring mother and grandmother. She was an active member of the Utica Ladies Aide, Lucky 13 Extension Club, and Trinity Lutheran Women and treasured the many friendships that continued throughout the years. She enjoyed needlework, card games, and earned a reputation for her love of canning, cooking, and gardening. She will be missed by her surviving families, but we celebrate her life. She is survived by her son James (Janet) Stark of Utica, SD; daughters Janice (Everett) Collings of Huron, SD; and Janene Andrews of Rapid City, SD. 11 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, 7 brothers, 3 sisters, 2 sons-in-law, and 1 great grandchild.
