She had turned 94 on June 30th. Mrs. d’Eon was the last survivor of the family of the late Hilaire and Adele d’Entremont, and had always lived here in West Pubnico. She leaves in mourning a son, Josephat, of Middle West Pubnico; four daughters, all of this village, Mrs. Pierre Elie Surette, Adele, Arthenise at home, Mrs. Isaac d’Entremont, Jane Rose, and Mrs. Philip d’Eon, Frances. She leaves also seven grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren. The funeral was held Monday afternoon, the 5th, at 3:00 p.m., with mass celebrated by Father Liboire Amirault, nephew of the deceased. Father Ambroise Comeau and Father Gerald LeBlanc assisted in the sanctuary. The pallbearers were Billy and Frank d’Eon, Paul d’Entremont and Richard Surette, grandsons, Wayne Thorburne and Lawrence Amirault. Obituary courtesy of Diane.
