(BAKER) KIGHT From her husband's January 3, 1929 obituary: It was on last July 28 that his wife died while visiting with relatives in Memphis, Missouri. She was brought back to Holyoke and was laid to rest in the local cemetery. Their new home had just been finished at the time of her death, they having moved in but a few days previous. The Kight family came here about ten years ago. For a few years Mr. Kight worked for G.W. Garland and later began in business for himself. He is survived by three daughters, Mrs. Ollie Jenkins of Holyoke, Mrs. Nellie Lewis of Centerville, Iowa, and Mrs. Allie Slaven of Memphis, Missouri. Isaac S. Kight was born December 21, 1863 in Wright County, Missouri. On November 10, 1884 he was united in marriage with Anna E. Baker. The ceremony was performed by Rev. C.H. Rhodes at Memphis, Missouri. Mr. Kight passed away on January 3, 1929, at his home in Holyoke. He was a member of the Masonic order, also the I.O.O.F and M.W.A. lodges. He is survived by three daughters all of whom were present at the funeral. They are Mrs. Ollie Jenkins of Holyoke, Mrs. Allie Slaven of Memphis, Missouri, Mrs. Nellie Lewis of Centerville, Iowa. Mr. Lewis was also present. Surviving the father are three daughters, Mrs. Ollie Jenkins of Holyoke, Mrs. Lollie Lewis of Centerville, Indiana and Mrs. Allie Slaven of Memphis, Missouri. Mr. Kight is survived also by two sisters, Jane Crawford of Kirksville, Missouri and Mrs. John Pryor of Alliance, Nebraska and by thirteen grandchildren.
