Description	:	Annie Emyra Wright Adamson, daughter of Frank and Nellie Wright, was born January 28, 1896, near Wauneta, Nebraska in a sod house. At the age of 6 years, Annie with her parents, two sisters and her brother came to Nelson in a covered wagon and from Nelson moved to Brokklyn, Michigan, by train to the former home of her father. At the age of 6 years, Annie with her parents, two sisters and her brother came to Nelson in a covered wagon and from Nelson moved to Brokklyn, Michigan, by train to the former home of her father. She attended and graduated from the Brooklyn High School and taught school one year. In 1916 Annie came to Nelson with her sister, Maud, to visit their relatives, the Orners. Annie remained and was employed in the Portwood Store. On May 9, 1918, she was united in marriage to McKinley Adamson and to this union five children were born, sons, Dale and Earl of Nelson, Joe of Geneva and twin girls, Helen Wilhelms and Halle Grummert, both of Denver, Colorado. Annie united with the Nelson Christian Church early in her married life and remained a devout worker to the end of her life. She was Superintendent of the children's Sunday School for many years and also has served as a Deaconess and Church Historian. McKinley and Annie with their family farmed near Nelson until 1944 and then moved into Nelson where they lived until Annie's death. She passed away March 29, 1975, at Mary Lanning Hospital in Hastings at the age of 79 years. She was preceded in death by her parents; a brother and a sister. She leaves to mourn her death her husband; five children with their husband and wives; 14 grandchildren; 10 great grandchildren; a sister, Maud Winkler; 2 elderly aunts, Lettie Orner and Ida Whiting and many other friends and relatives. Funeral services were Tursday, April 1, 1975 at 2:00 p.m. in the First Christian Church, Nelson. Pastor Victor Schwarz officiated. Interment was in the Nelson Cemetery. Arrangements were by the Klawitter Funeral Home, Nelson. Casketbearers were Mike Thayer, Paul Statz, Daniel Grummert, Dean Adamson, Stephen Adamson and Darrel Adamson. Organist Myrtle Worley accompanied Dennis Van Nyhuis as he sang "The Last Mile Of The Way" and "Just A Closer Walk With Thee". The Nelson Gazette, Thursday, April 3, 1975
