They went on to the year 1866 and found her born 21 Feb 1866 at Leomansley, Lichfield, Annie, dau Thomas Hall and Sarah Jane Hall formerly Higgott, labourer on the water works, informant mother S. J. Hall of Leomansley, registered 21 Mar 1866. (Have copy ) Came to America in January 1869 with her parents and spent most of her life in Decatur County, IA. She was a midwife/practical nurse and was always ready with a helping hand . When she was delievering a baby she would take along a berthing chair. It’s seat was in the shape of an upside down U. The women would sit on this with their knees tucked under their chin and give birth to their child. When Annie died she left no will, each sister received $55.55 and Sarah Elizabeth’s children each received $5.55. Extracted from her probate record.
