Read More	Lithonia, Ga. - Annie Lou Pettit Pearce, 88, of Lithonia, Ga., went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, December 4, 2013 at Gentiva Hospice in Atlanta, Ga. Born in Gaffney, she was the widow of the late Lt. Col. Thomas Jefferson Pearce, Jr. to whom she was married for 57 years, and was the daughter of the late Edmund Pettit and Annie Anthony Pettit. Mrs. Pearce was a graduate of Limestone College and was a homemaker. She loved to garden and spend time with her children and grandchildren. She entertained many family events at her home. She was of the Baptist faith. Surviving are two sons, Matt Pearce and wife, Debbie, of Dallas, Ga., and Tom Pearce and wife, Holly, of Fort Valley, Ga.; a daughter, Debbie O'Dekirk and husband, John, of Marietta, Ga.; 8 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by six brothers, Steedly Pettit, John Pettit, Ben Pettit, Basil Pettit, Sam Pettit and Tom Pettit, and two sisters, Ruth Pettit and Genera P. Barbee. The family will receive friends from 1:00 until 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, December 8, 2013 at Blakely Funeral Home. Funeral services will immediately follow at 2:00 p.m. in the Blakely Funeral Home Chapel with Dr. M. B. Morrow, Jr. officiating. Interment will be in Frederick Memorial Gardens.
