Annie was born in Chickalah Mountain, AR on August 26, 1934 to the union of James Madison Land and Alice Elizabeth (Archer) Land. (Land) Kitterman, age 82 of Caney, passed away on November 7, 2016. Annie was born in Chickalah Mountain, AR on August 26, 1934 to the union of James Madison Land and Alice Elizabeth (Archer) Land. She attended school in Dardanelle, AR where she graduated with the class of 1954. It was in Dardanelle that she he married the love of her life, Dr. Thomas Lloyd Kitterman on April 10, 1955. He preceded her in death on September 19, 1990. Annie worked as a dental assistant in her husband’s dental office, Dr. T.L. Kitterman, DDS until 1989. She also worked as the “Caboose Lady” for Oswego Tourism for a period of time. The job she loved the most was being a mother and grandmother. She was very family oriented and loved every minute that she got to spend with those she loved. She had been a lifelong member of the First Baptist Church of Oswego, and attended regularly and participated in several church dinners and other functions before moving to Caney one year ago as her health declined. Along with her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents, James and Alice; one son, Thomas L. Kitterman, Jr.; two sisters, Lorena Williamson and Irene Pearson; and four brothers, Dalton Land, Esco Land, Johnnie Land, and Loyd Land. Survivors include four sons, Randy Kitterman (wife, Dana) of Oologah, OK, Kevin Kitterman (wife, Jennifer) of Columbus, KS; Steve Kitterman (wife, Cathy) of Jamaica Beach, TX, and Jeff Kitterman (wife, Paula) of Caney, KS; one brother, Mack Land (wife, Ann) of Leveland, TX; a very speicla lifelong friend, Margaret Harrison; thirteen grandchildren, Shane Kitterman, Shawn Kitterman, Kolton Kitterman, Kale Kitterman, Kali Swisher, Claire Seever, Katie Seever, Trevor Terrell, Joelee Hughes, Chad Kitterman, Jordan Kitterman, Elizabeth Kitterman, and Isabelle Kitterman; and six great-grandchildren with two more on the way. A graveside service will be held at 10:00 AM on Saturday, November 12, 2016 at the Oswego Cemetery. Pallbearers will be her grandsons. Pastor Roger Daniels will officiate.
