She was born Feb. 11, 1919, in Surry County to Johnny Edward and Lela Hayes Mayes. Mrs. Wall was a homemaker and charter member of Siloam Friends Meeting. Read More	SILOAM - Mrs. Annie Mae Mayes Wall, 82, widow of Charlie Elmer Wall, of 116 Hardy Road, passed away Saturday, July 21, 2001, at Forsyth Medical Center. She was born Feb. 11, 1919, in Surry County to Johnny Edward and Lela Hayes Mayes. Mrs. Wall was a homemaker and charter member of Siloam Friends Meeting. She is survived by two daughters and a son-in-law, Joyce Burchette of Advance, and Jackie March and husband Al of Siloam; three sons and daughters-in-law, Bobby Wall and wife Margaret of Mount Airy, Bill "Glen Ray" Wall and fiancee Sue Hines of Siloam, and Edgar Wall and wife Annie Lee of Siloam; an adopted son, Dwight Holder of Siloam; eight grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren; two brothers, Ellis Mayes of Pilot Mountain, and Lester Mayes of Elkin; and five sisters, Kathleen Brown, Jestine Eads, and Christine Pike, all of Siloam, Reynolda Newman of Elkin, and Peggy Holyfield of Dobson. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, July 24, at Siloam Friends Meeting. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 p.m. Monday, July 23, at Cox-Needham Funeral Home, and at other times at the home of Mrs. Wall's daughter, Jackie Marsh (435 Quaker Church Road, Siloam, NC 27047). Memorials may be made to the Siloam Friends Meeting Cemetery Fund, c/o Jack George Jr., 2522 Quaker Church Road, Siloam, NC 27047. The Wall family is being served by Cox-Needham Funeral Home in Pilot Mountain.
