Survivors include four children, Leslie E. Deane Jr. and wife, Aura, of Richmond, David L. Deane of Newport News, Calvin C. Deane and his wife, Debbie, of Graham, N.C., and Karen Garcia and her husband Angel, of Alexandria; two sisters, Arlene Quarles of Hampton and Helen Wolford of Charlottesville; one brother, Raymond Stokes of Charlottesville; four grandchildren, John Deane, Leslie Ann Deane, Lake Deane and Tina Stewart; and two great-grandchildren, Megan Joyce and Colby Hollis. She was preceded in death by her husband, Leslie E. Deane Sr. Visitation will be at 11:30 a.m. Wednesday, Jan. 7, 2009, at W.J. Smith & Son Funeral Home, with the Rev. Jimy Edwards officiating. Burial will follow in Peninsula Memorial Park. Arrangements by W.J. Smith & Son Funeral Home.
