Cannon, departed this life Wednesday, Feb., 5th 1902 at 4:30 p.m., at her home on west main street, of acute inflammation of the bowels and peritonitis. Annie O. Read More	Glenville Bee, Published Friday February 7, 1902 Passed Away. Mrs. Annie O. Cannon, beloved wife of Mr. V.A. Cannon, departed this life Wednesday, Feb., 5th 1902 at 4:30 p.m., at her home on west main street, of acute inflammation of the bowels and peritonitis. Annie O. Woodward was born in St. Clair county,Mich.,Dec. 5, 1863, and was one of six children, four boys and two girls. She was united in marriage to Mr. Virgil A. Cannon, Nov. 14th, 1886 in Custer county, Neb. To this union was born seven children, two of whom preceded her to the grave. This leaves to mourn the loss of a loving wife, mother and sister, a husband, five children, the youngest but a baby, four brother and one sister, and an aged uncle and aunt. Mrs. Cannon was converted in Glenville and united with the Evangelical church. Hers was a beautiful life, devoted to her home and children, her greatest desire being to raise her children to christian manhood and womanhood. Her efforts will not be in vain, her life work will live on for time to come. In church work she was ever foremost, ready and willing to do what her hands found to do and the sight of the Savior's love was ever shining in her face. Even in her last illness of but one week's duration, she was near but ready and willing to go to her eternal home. The grief stricken husband and family have heart felt sympathy of the entire community in this their great sorrow and bereavement. Funeral services will be held this morning in the Evangelical Church, conducted by Rev. G.P. Netherly, after which the remains will be laid to rest in Glenville Cemetery. "Blessed are they who die in the Lord".
