She was born in Surry County on June 16, 1902 to the late Henry Brady and Sarah Spencer Phillips. She was preceded in death by her husband, James Emery White (1972), one daughter, Donise White (1955), one grandchild, James Christopher Trivette (1970), three sisters, Ruth Phillips, Ethel Wier and Josie Phillips, and three brothers Calvin Phillips, Esker Phillips and Roy Phillips.... She was preceded in death by her husband, James Emery White (1972), one daughter, Donise White (1955), one grandchild, James Christopher Trivette (1970), three sisters, Ruth Phillips, Ethel Wier and Josie Phillips, and three brothers Calvin Phillips, Esker Phillips and Roy Phillips. Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. Naomi Salley of Rt. 1, Yadkinville, Mrs. James (Charlene) Trivette of Rt. 3, Dobson (care giver); one son, Thad N. White of West Columbia, South Carolina; seven grandchildren; one granddaughter and family in whom she lived with, Reverend and Mrs. Jeff (Linda) Collins; 12 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild; three sisters, Myrtle Wood of Rt. 3, Dobson, Lora Moser of Surry Manor Apartments, Dobson and Edith Flynn of Rt. 2, Dobson. Mrs. White was a faithful member of Fairview Baptist Church. Funeral services will be held Thursday at 2 p.m. at Fairview Baptist Church, with burial in the church cemetery. Her body will remain at Davis & Son Funeral Home in Dobson until carried to the church at 10:30 a.m. the day of the funeral services. The family will receive friends at Davis and Son Funeral Home on Wednesday evening from 7-9 p.m., and at other times at Mrs. White's home on Rt. 3, Dobson.
