She was preceded in death by her husband, Earl Cates, granddaughter Karen Louise Saulter Keeter and sister Frances Jollie. She is survived by her: daughters, Frances and Wayne Hardee of Blounts Creek, Kathy and Jackie Hardee of Stokes; son, Randy Earl Cates of Greenville; grandchildren, Chris Hardee and his precious son, Riley Hardee, Ashley Hardee and his daughter, Gabby, Michael Hardee and wife, Kris, and their children, Brady and Taylor; special nieces, Theresa and Leonard Sawyer, and Edna Manning; special nephew, C. T. Cates; and especially her beloved dog, Riley. The family would like to express special thanks to Vidant Home Health and Hospice. Arrangements by Wilkerson Funeral Home and Crematory.
