Description	:	Mrs. Annie Rae (Long) Julian, age 94, a lifelong resident of Salisbury, North Carolina passed away February 19, 2016 at Glenn A. Kiser Hospice House. Born March 9, 1921 she was a daughter of the late Annie (Miller) Long and Ray Earl Long. She was a graduate of Boyden High School and attended Catawba College. She worked in the insurance industry until her children were born, at which time she stayed at home and lovingly raised them for twenty years. Read More	Mrs. Annie Rae (Long) Julian, age 94, a lifelong resident of Salisbury, North Carolina passed away February 19, 2016 at Glenn A. Kiser Hospice House. Born March 9, 1921 she was a daughter of the late Annie (Miller) Long and Ray Earl Long. She was a graduate of Boyden High School and attended Catawba College. She worked in the insurance industry until her children were born, at which time she stayed at home and lovingly raised them for twenty years. She then worked in the office at Belk Harry for ten years. She was a faithful member of Second Presbyterian Church during her adult life. She loved to sing in the choir, served on the church session, was a member of the Women of the Church and participated in many other church activities. She delivered Meals on Wheels, volunteered in the hospital auxiliary and was a Cub Scout leader. She loved cooking, working with flowers, reading, crosswords and traveling with her family. She was a wonderful mother and grandmother and totally devoted to her family. On July 11, 1942 she married Robert Baker Julian, Sr. who preceded her in death on January 9, 2009. She was also preceded in death by a sister Polly (Long) Smith. Left to cherish her memory are her children, Cathy (Julian) Wilson and husband Doug; Robbie B. Julian and wife Nettie; 5 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren; and her devoted cat Rusty. FUNERAL HOME: Summersett Funeral Home & Cremation Center 1315 W.
