Description	:	Annie Koinzan, 84, a longtime resident of Wenatchee, passed to heaven on June 20, 1997, at Central Washington Hospital after a brief illness. She was born on Oct. 6, 1912, at Chorley, Lancashire, England, to William and Bessie (Bromiley) Sharples. She was a librarian and weaver in England. On July 14, 1943, she married Herman Koinzan at Chorley, England. After World War II they moved to the United States and she became a naturalized citizen of the United States. Read More	Annie Koinzan, 84, a longtime resident of Wenatchee, passed to heaven on June 20, 1997, at Central Washington Hospital after a brief illness. She was born on Oct. 6, 1912, at Chorley, Lancashire, England, to William and Bessie (Bromiley) Sharples. She was a librarian and weaver in England. On July 14, 1943, she married Herman Koinzan at Chorley, England. After World War II they moved to the United States and she became a naturalized citizen of the United States. For many years Annie was the head reference librarian for North Central Regional Library and later supervisor of the Wenatchee city library, retiring in 1975. She had a great love for books and reading gave her much enjoyment. Annie was very talented at knitting, quilting and needlepoint, and she shared her beautiful work as gifts with many people. Annie was a Retired Senior Volunteer at Central Washington Hospital for many years and a former volunteer for the Mobile Meals program. She was a past president and current member of the Soroptimist Club. She was a past librarian and current member of Grace Lutheran Church. Annie was a very generous, kind and caring person. She gave much love and support to her family and friends and we will deeply miss her. She is survived by one son, William Koinzan, and daughter-in-law Sandy Koinzan, grandchildren Tonya Koinzan and Timothy Koinzan, and great-grandchildren Zachary Koinzan and Justyn Koinzan, all of Wenatchee; brothers Harry and Bob Sharples and sister Ethel Dewitt, all of England; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Herman, in 1960, and by her brother, Jack Sharples, and a grandson, Marcus Koinzan. Arrangements are by Telford's Chapel of the Valley, East Wenatchee.
