Description	:	When Annie Sorensen was born on June 21,1879 in Denmark, her father, Peter, was 29 and her mother, Marie, was 28. Her family immigrated to the United States in about 1895 and made a home in Yankton, South Dakota. In 1904, she, Ole Ogstad, and 3 other devote Christians went as missionaries to Africa. It was a very difficult timer; one of the missionaries died there and they returned home before 1905. Annie married Ole G Ogstad, Jr on January 27, 1905, in Clay County, South Dakota. It was a very difficult timer; one of the missionaries died there and they returned home before 1905. Annie married Ole G Ogstad, Jr on January 27, 1905, in Clay County, South Dakota. They had four children during their marriage: Oscar, Alfred K, Enoch, and Anne Marie T. Tragically, her husband, Ole died of the flu in 1919 while they lived in Denver, Colorado. Annie and the children returned to South Dakota but she never remarried. Annie is said to have suffered as the result of the sudden death of her husband and the hard year in Africa. She died in December 1968 in Irene, South Dakota, at the age of 89, and was buried in Volin, South Dakota. She was greatly loved and cherished by her children and family.
