He passed away September 4, 1977, at his Superior apartment of a gunshot wound, apparently self-inflicted. He received his education at the Superior Grade Schools and graduated from Superior High School in May of 1976. He was cartoonist of the school paper and editor of the Superior of the Superior High School annual. Preceding him in death was one sister, La Donna Ann. He is survived by his step-father and mother, Mr. and Mrs. William Stichka; three brothers, Ken Poplin, Chuck Evans and Mike Evans; and a sister, Anglea (sic) Stichka, all of Nelson, grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Wayne Ferguson of Hardy and Mr. and Mrs. Gerald Kline of Holton, Indiana; and step-grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Edward Stichka of Nelson. Funeral services were held at 3 p.m. September 8 at the Megrue-Price Funeral Home Chapel in Superior, the Rev. Ray Ensign officiating. Burial was in the Nelson Cemetery.
