Read More	"ANTON BUCHOLZ DIES IN PORTLAND, OREGON Was one of the Early Residents of this City Anton Bucholz, 65, former resident of Norfolk died at his home in Portland, Ore., Sunday morning at 10:30 o'clock as a result of heart trouble. Mr. Bucholz was one of the pioneers of this city, coming here from Colfax county in 1882. At that time the railroad had a station at West Point and it was necessary to walk or ride to Norfolk. He was formally proprietor of the Wide Awake Clothiers and he was also a director in the Norfolk Building and Loan association. He was well known in this section of the state. He had been in Portland for the past eighteen months, going there in 1922 on account of failing health. Relatives are his wife, Mrs. Emma Bucholz, 421 South Fifth avenue, a sister at Pierce, Neb., and a number of brothers and sisters in Colfax county. Funeral arrangements have not been announced." "Private funeral services for Anton Bucholz who died in Portland, Ore., last Sunday will be held at the funeral home of Johnson and Thenhaus Sunday afternoon. The Rev. F. C. Brandhorst, pastor of Grace Lutheran church, will have charge of the services. Burial will be made in the new Lutheran cemetery. The body of Mr. Bucholz is expected to arrive in Norfolk Friday evening and will be taken to the Johnson and Thenhaus undertaking parlors where it will lie in state until Sunday afternoon." He emigrated to America at the age of 21, first in Colfax county, Nebraska then at West Point and Stanton, then coming to Norfolk about 40 years ago. He was married on Nov. 16, 1883 to Emma Pillar. He moved to Portland, Oregon about 4 years ago and died there from heart trouble at the age of 66 years. He was survived by his wife, two brothers: John and Frank Bucacek* at Clarkson, 1 sister Mrs. Antonia Kratochvil at Pierce. "Mrs. Louis Pregge, C. J. Hulac and E. V. Hulac who were reared in his home. The body was accompanied from Portland by Otto Pillar, Portland, a brother of Mrs. Buholz."
