Benedict Bauer, O.S.B. Requiem high mass was sung by Assumption choir, with Sister M. Juliana organist. The pallbearers were Anton and Frank Nemec, Joe Kouma, Frank Dolezal, Joe Vavra and Joe Barcal. Burial was in Dwight Catholic cemetery. Mr. Nemec was born at Hrabesin, Moravia, January 17, 1864, and came to the United States at the age of 20 years. He was married to Anna Pavel, who passed away March 6, 1909. He leaves four daughters and two sons, Miss Alosia Nemec, Mrs. Joe Kovar, Mrs. Frank Dolezal and Frank Nemec of Dwight, Anton Nemec of Bee and Mrs. Joe Vavra of Rising City. Mr. Nemec, known as "Grandpa Nemec" to all the community, was a quiet, respectable citizen. He lived with his daughter in town and had especial fondness for all his grandchildren.
