Description	:	Anton Brusven Andreas Nilssen Brusven was born to Mr. & Mrs. Nils Andreassen on November 22, 1880 in Bruflat, Etnedal, Oppland, Norway. He was united in marriage there on November 16, 1902 to Marie Olsdatter Heskin. In 1903, they emigrated from Norway to Wisconsin. Their first child, Nels was born here the same year (1903). In 1904, they moved to Ward County, North Dakota to take a homestead. Two more children were added to the family in Ward County, Oscar (1909) and Linda born the year of the widespread Spanish Influenza Epidemic (1918). Anton received the patent to his homestead... He was united in marriage there on November 16, 1902 to Marie Olsdatter Heskin. In 1903, they emigrated from Norway to Wisconsin. Their first child, Nels was born here the same year (1903). In 1904, they moved to Ward County, North Dakota to take a homestead. Anton received the patent to his homestead in Torning Towship, Ward County on July 24, 1911. He went to Canada with the intentions of homestead there but returned to the homestead in North Dakota. In 1938, they retired from farming and moved to Minot. Anton was employed at one time by the Great Northern Railway and then worked for the W.P.A. on road construction. Anton lost his beloved wife Mary on January 8, 1964. His son, Oscar died on June 20, 1969 and Anton’s unexpected death occurring just six days later on June 26, 1969 at his home. Funeral was held on June 30th at the Thompson-Larson Funeral Home Chapel in Minot and he was laid to rest beside his wife in the Rosehill Memorial Park Cemetery, Minot.
