| Description | : | Anton Tony Welk, 90, Carrington, died Monday, March 6, 2000, in Carrington Health Center. Anton Welk was born May 16, 1909, the son of Balzer and Margaret (Baumgartner) Welk, in Orrin, N.D., where he attended school. He married Frances Brossart on Oct. 10, 1939, in Rugby, N.D. They farmed near Barton, N.D., before moving to a farm near McHenry, N.D., in 1958. They retired to Carrington in 1973.
