Description	:	DIED--At his residence in Cedar township Green county, March 15th, 1899, Aquiller C. Campbell aged 73 years, 2 mo., and 20 days. The deceased was born in Knoxville, Dearborn Co, Indiana, December 25, 1825. He emigrated with his parents and crossed the father of waters in the year 1838 coming to Linn Co., Iowa, where he grew to manhood and where he was married to Rachel Daniels July 8, 1847. The deceased was born in Knoxville, Dearborn Co, Indiana, December 25, 1825. Of this union eleven children were born, Susan, now Mrs. W. S. Paul, near Lake City; Sarah, now Mrs. S. A. Smith, of Rockwell City; S. William, near Lake City; Rachel, now Mrs. W. W. Haight, of Fonda; Jeremiah, near Lake City; Fanny, now Mrs. Chas. McClure, of Lohrville; Thomas G. near Lohrville; Myrtie E. and Samuel D. at home; two died infancy. He leaves a wife, nine children, five sisters and twenty-two grandchildren to mourn the loss of a husband, father, brother and grandfather. They resided in Linn Co., until the year 1877 when they moved to Greene Co., the place where they now reside. The deceased was a kind hearted, generous man, a good neighbor and an indulgent and loving husband and father. One by one the old pioneers are leaving us, but the impress of their lives and the strong convictions of their moral worth are not lost. The solemn event brings to us as well as the home circle a startling demonstration that of all things sure, death is most certain. A good man has gone to his reward--peace to his ashes. The funeral service was conducted by Rev. F. Hey Lemon. Burial took place at Lake City cemetery.; Mar 1899 (Age: 73) -- Cedar Twp, Greene, Iowa.
