Services were held at the Murrison home on Wednesday afternoon with burial in the Brooklyn Memorial (IOOF) Cemetery by her husband and small son. Services were held at the Murrison home on Wednesday afternoon with burial in the Brooklyn Memorial (IOOF) Cemetery by her husband and small son. Arabelle D Woods was born in Lexington, Richland County, Ohio the daughter of Joseph P and Ellen Woods. She was the oldest of a family of seven children. When she was 18 months old the family moved to a farm near Atalissa, Muscatine County, Iowa from Ohio in a covered wagon. In 1864 when she was 16 years old the family moved to Brooklyn, Iowa. On March 18, 1869 she was united in marriage to William N Crawford. To this union were born four children; three girls, Lotta, Callie and Mary and one son Freddie. In 1887 Mr Crawford was killed in a fire in the business section of Brooklyn, but she continued to keep her family together even at a great sacrifice to herself. She is survived by her three daughters, Mrs Lotta Kean of Butte, Montana, who was unable to be here. Mrs Callie Murrison with whom she had made her home the past eight years and Mrs Mayme Wolfe of Rock Island who was with her mother during her last illness.
