Age 83 years, 4 months. At the age of 18 he was converted and became a member of the Presbyterian church. Read More	From The Oberlin Herald (Oberlin, Kansas) Dec 23, 1920: Archibald McIntyre was born in Argule County Scotland, August 17, 1837 and died after an illness of five days, at his home in Dresden, Kansas December 17, 1920. Age 83 years, 4 months. At the age of 18 he was converted and became a member of the Presbyterian church. He came to America in 1868 staying but a short time, then returned to his native land where he was married to May Ann Shaw, April 29, 1869, who died March 19, 1875 leaving him with two girls ages nearly two and four years old. The eldest Catherine, preceding him to the great beyond a little over four years ago. He was married again to Mary McKinnon on April 3, 1878. To this union a son was born, who died in infancy. He came again to the United States in 1880, followed by his family in 1881. He located on a farm in Decatur County Kansas, 9 miles from Dresden. He moved to Dresden in October 1890 where he was engaged in the merchantile business for 20 years, retiring 10 years ago, because of failing health, he endured the hardships and privations common to the pioneer life. He became a member of the Methodist Episcopal church in 1886. Since this serving God and the church with untiring devotion, and leaves behind him the memory of an upright Christian man. He is survived by his wife, a daughter, Mrs. S. D. Taylor, four grandchildren, one sister, Mrs. Mary McLeod, two nephews and one niece.
