Yenney, 69, retired round-house foreman of the Union Pacific Railroad, died late Sunday evening in a local hospital. He had suffered a circulatory attack one week ago. The family residence is at 201 East Koenig Street. Funeral services will be held at 1:30 o'clock Wednesday afternoon in the chapel of the Livingston-Sondermann Funeral Home. Dr. Lawrence Davis, pastor of Trinity Methodist Church, will be the officiant. Burial will be at Central City. Mr. Yenney was born at Central City July 16, 1892, to Mr. and Mrs. John Yenney. He and Miss Myrna Roark were married Jan. 23, 1914, in Grand Island. They made their home on a farm near Central City for the succeeding two years. Then Mr. Yenney entered the service of the Union Pacific in the local shops. While his employment took him to other locations of the railroad, his principal employment was in Grand Island. He was foreman of the roundhouse for several years prior to his retirement Oct. 29, 1959. At that time, he had completed 42 years of service to the railroad. Mr Yenney was a member of the Methodist Church. He was affiliated with Lotus Lodge No. 289, A.F. & A.M. at Ravenna and the Union Pacific Old Timers Club No. 16. He is survived by his wife; two children, Mrs. Richard Korth of Omaha and Mrs. Robert Schultz, Grand Island; a sister, Mrs. Lou Porter, Central City; four grandchildren and other relatives. He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother, Fred Yenney.
