Survivors are his wife Rena; his son & daughter-in-law, Kenneth & Norma March of Rt. 3, Newton; 2 granddaughters, Mrs. Harry (Linda) Moeller of Waterloo of Portland, Oregon; & Mrs. Kyle (Cynthia) Stock of Sully; a grandson, Douglas March of Newton; a brother, Cyril March of Coulter; a sister, Marguarite Burfitt and a number of nieces & nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents. Mr. March was a longtime member of the Killduff United Methodist Church. He was a retired farmer. The son of Thomas E. & Mary Jay March, he was born June 14, 1899 at Pleasant Grove, California. He was married to Rena Cox June 7, 1924 in Newton. Mr. March moved to Jasper Cty. in 1927 from Franklin Cty. He died Wednesday morning at Skiff Memorial Hospital. (Taken from the Newton Daily News, January 18, 1973.)
