Description	:	Ardell Jeanine Rungborg was born May 3, 1932, the middle child of Soren Sorensen Rungborg and Myrtle Marie (Andersen) Rungborg, in the old Sheridan Memorial Hospital in Plentywood, Montana. She left this earth on March 28, 2021, to reunite with her husband Gordon and spend her heavenly days with him for eternity. She was baptized and confirmed in the Lutheran faith at the Reserve Lutheran church. Read More	Ardell Jeanine Rungborg was born May 3, 1932, the middle child of Soren Sorensen Rungborg and Myrtle Marie (Andersen) Rungborg, in the old Sheridan Memorial Hospital in Plentywood, Montana. She left this earth on March 28, 2021, to reunite with her husband Gordon and spend her heavenly days with him for eternity. She was baptized and confirmed in the Lutheran faith at the Reserve Lutheran church. Ardell spent her childhood years in Reserve and attended grade school at the Reserve School and her high school years at Medicine Lake High School. As a senior, she received the Silver Key award in Journalism. She was a member of the "Rainbow for Girls" at Plentywood and as a senior she held the highest office as Worthy Advisor. She was active in 4-H under the leadership of Hildur Vilen and Aileen Holm and received many ribbons for her efforts in sewing, baking, and cooking. Ardell went on to Northern Montana College at Havre and then taught at the Lowell School thanks to the wonderful Ronald Lindberg and Nick Nielsen who came to her house in Reserve and offered her the job. She later taught at the Reserve School and also worked at the telephone office in Plentywood until she married Gordon Nelson. They were married in the Reserve Lutheran Church on March 16, 1954. For the next 11 months they lived in North Carolina where Gordon was finishing his stay in the Air Force. They then returned to Montana and lived one year in Scobey, Montana, and then located to Gordon's grandfather's homestead east of Homestead, Montana where she lived until her husband passed away with following stays at the Manor, LaCasa, and the nursing home in Plentywood, Montana. Ardell was a hard worker, raised a huge garden and canned the produce, and kept her house spotless. She had a liking for Pekingese dogs and raised and sold pups which was hard as she got so attached to them. Other hobbies she had were quilting, canvas paintings, and Artex paintings on dish towels. Ardell was very artistic and had beautiful hand writing (Calligraphy) of which she did as memoirs and gifts to many businesses, groups and individuals over the years. She had a great love for country music, especially George Jones whom she got to meet in person. She is survived by her children Pamela (Robin) Brenden of Plentywood, MT and Loren (Jodi) Nelson of Devils Lake, ND; grandsons Michael Nelson of Williston, ND and Eric Nelson of Fargo, ND; step granddaughters Loriane Maves of Thornton, CO and April Bogy of Helena, MT; brother Gordon Rungborg (Pat) of St. Ignatius, MT; sister Velma Madsen of Polson, MT; sisters-in-law Joan Nelson of Glasgow, MT and Hope Fugere of Scobey, MT; and nephew Nathan (Phyliss) Swanson of California. She is also survived by several nieces, nephews and cousins. Preceding her in death is her husband Gordon; parents Soren and Myrtle Rungborg; brothers-in-law Dan Madsen, Jack Nelson Sr., Roger Nelson, and Fern Fugere; sister-in-law Connie Nelson; uncles and their wives Harvey and Elna Andersen,Andrew and Laura Andersen, and Clifford and Dagmar Andersen; aunt and husband Lily and Rusty Beilby; step-sister Lois and her husband Elmer Swanson; and a cousin Reed Andersen.
