Description	:	Our beloved mother and grandmother, Ardell Maurine Byas, age 93, of Sioux Falls, SD, was called home to her Heavenly Father on Sunday, Sept 23rd, 2012. Ardell Koller was the daughter of Henry and Nettie Koller. She was born May 17, 1919, in Parker, SD. She attended school in Parker and graduated from Parker High School. Ardell moved to Sioux Falls where she attended and graduated from Nettleton Business College. Ardell worked for... Read More	Our beloved mother and grandmother, Ardell Maurine Byas, age 93, of Sioux Falls, SD, was called home to her Heavenly Father on Sunday, Sept 23rd, 2012. Ardell Koller was the daughter of Henry and Nettie Koller. She was born May 17, 1919, in Parker, SD. She attended school in Parker and graduated from Parker High School. Ardell moved to Sioux Falls where she attended and graduated from Nettleton Business College. After college she moved to California, where she worked and eventually met and married her husband Fredrick Byas on October 20th, 1954. In 1957 the family returned to Sioux Falls. Ardell worked for various companies in Sioux Falls including JC Lippert, Norlin Concrete, and Dakota Contracting. She retired in 1985. After retirement she enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren, volunteering at her church, attending bible studies, traveling, knitting, and journaling. Ardell was also an avid walker. She was a faithful servant of God and a member of Central Baptist Church for 54 years. Grateful and thankful for having shared her life are her son Steven and his wife Beth of Phoenix AZ, her daughter Joni Quam and her husband Terry of Baltic SD and her grandchildren, Brandon, Jessi, Marcus, Haley, Cody, and Anna Lee, a sister, Erma Lundquist, a brother in law, Robert Milbauer and wife DiAnn, and a sister in law Nancy Koller, all of Sioux Falls. Ardell was also a loving aunt to several nieces and nephews, and a d ear friend to many people. She was preceded in death by her two sisters, Ruth Strange and Doris Milbauer, her brother Morris Koller, her niece, Suzanne Strange, and her n e p h ew, Jeffery Lundquist. She was greatly loved and will be missed by those fortunate to have shared her life. She was the Greatest!! We would like to convey our heartfelt thanks to the staff at Sanford Hospital and Hospice for their loving and compassionate care they provided to our mother while she was there. A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday at Central Baptist Church with burial to precede the service at Rosehill Cemetery in Parker.
