Airy, N.C., and Phyllis Sap of Winston-Salem, N.C.; four grandchildren, Kevin and Erin Kadzis, Kristin and Casey Murphy. Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Tuesday at Double Springs Baptist Church, conducted by the Rev. Wayne Jones, Dr. Allen McWhite, and Dr. Ernest Carswell. Burial with Military Rites will be in the church cemetery. Active pallbearers will be Walter Alvis Clark III, Leonard Clark Jr., Steve Puckett, Kevin Kadzis, Dale Murphy, and John Mason. Honorary escort will be current and past deacons and the Dependable Sunday School Class of Double Springs Baptist Church and Richard Jones, Clyde Duncan, Bobby Lister, Clifton Lister, Rock Hunter, Alton Ferguson, Earl Ferguson, Fritz Jernigan, Tim Cassell, and Joe Wood. Visitation will be held 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. today at The Wood Mortuary. The family is at the home.
