She graduated from Seward, High School in Seward, NE in 1955. On June 26, 1955, Ardella was united in marriage to Richard Schultz at St. John Lutheran Church in Seward, NE. She spent her life caring for her family, as well as devoting 44 years of daycare service to the community. Ardella cared for many children over the course of her life and she never forgot any of those kids. She tried to stay in touch with their families over the years. She spent her life cooking and making food, sharing it with her loved ones and enjoying just spending time with them. When asked why it tasted so good she would smile and say it's because I add a special ingredient, Love. Lately she had been enjoying time with her family doing her wintertime hobby of putting jigsaw puzzles together. She called it puzzling and it kept her mind sharp. She struggled in her later years with numerous medical issues but she faced each one of them with bravery. After Richard died she kept going but missed him everyday. Her lifeline to the world was her phone. If you didn't call her, she called you. She was a friend to many people and her love for Jesus, her Savior, compelled her to pray for her family. Her one prayer was that all her family, her children and their spouses, her grandchildren and their spouses, her great-grandchildren and those yet to come, would all know Jesus so that they would join her and Richard someday in heaven. She went to meet Jesus on January 19, 2015 at the age of 77 years and 16 days. Waiting for her there are her loved ones. We are sure she's singing (even if a little off key) with them and all the angels in heaven. We will all miss our birthday calls when she would sing to us. Ardella is survived by her children and their spouses: Mark, Cathy, Cindy, Connie, Christy, Deb, Amy, and Peg; twenty-four grandchildren; fourteen great-grandchildren; sister-in-law Shirley Brose; and a host of nieces, nephews and other family and friends. Ardella was preceded in death by her parents, Oscar and Emma Brose; husband, Richard Schultz; brothers, Cliff (Dee) Brose, Keith Brose; sister, Lola (Walter) Hemsath; daughter-in-law, Jeanette Schultz.
