Description	:	Ardella attended Ossian Schools and graduated with the Class of 1940. She was the oldest of three children and from the time she was able to work and help make ends meet for the family she did all she could do. After graduating from high school Ardella worked at General Electric in Decatur and was quickly promoted to supervisor. She was engaged to a young man named Truman Krueckeberg in her early 20s, who died serving in the Army during WWII. She was the oldest of three children and from the time she was able to work and help make ends meet for the family she did all she could do. After graduating from high school Ardella worked at General Electric in Decatur and was quickly promoted to supervisor. She was engaged to a young man named Truman Krueckeberg in her early 20s, who died serving in the Army during WWII. Later she transferred to the experimental department in Fort Wayne and worked there for five years. While working there, she met Jack Pinney . They dated and soon fell in love. On December 6, 1947 Ardella married Jack Clinton Pinney at the Waynedale United Methodist Church, Fort Wayne. They added to their family two daughters Priscilla and Rita. Then in 1954, she started working at Lincoln Life, where she was an account analyst until her retirement in 1987. Shortly after she was called back and worked an additional two years. After retirement Ardella and Jack wintered in Texas and returned to Bear Lake in the summers. Occasionally she could also be found fishing, but she wanted nothing to do with any kind of swimming. Ardella always stressed the importance of family values, hard work, virtues of honesty and most of all, compassion to her children. She also loved to have family dinners, holiday gatherings, along with cooking and baking her favorite Amish recipes. She was a very family oriented person who helped her family in every way possible. She liked to stay in touch with her closest friends by calling and writing letters. Ardella loved quilting and made countless numbers of them for family and friends. She also enjoyed reading quilting and architectural magazines and the Holy Bible, gardening, growing plants, and keeping flowers in the yard looking fantastic. Her favorite television show was the Lawrence Welk Show and her favorite movie was The Sound of Music.
