Burial was at Sion Lutheran Cemetery, rural Lake Mills. Ardella died May 7, 2000, at the Lutheran Retirement Home, Northwood. Ardella was born November 9, 1920, in Freeborn County, MN, to Melvin and Bertha (Larson) Christian. She was baptized and confirmed from Silver Lake Lutheran Church, rural Northwood. Ardella died May 7, 2000, at the Lutheran Retirement Home, Northwood. Ardella was born November 9, 1920, in Freeborn County, MN, to Melvin and Bertha (Larson) Christian. She was baptized and confirmed from Silver Lake Lutheran Church, rural Northwood. She graduated from Emmons High School in 1939. Ardella married Emil S. Dybvad on December 3, 1939, at Silver Lake Lutheran Church. They farmed in the Lake Mills area until October of 1955. They started working at the Manly State Bank, Kensett office, on November 1, 1955. Emil retired from the bank as manager in 1980 and Dell retired in November of 1982, but continued part-time at the bank until November of 1990. Through the years, Dell served in various ways, assistant treasurer of the Bethany Lutheran Church, Altar Guild, secretary of WELCA, secretary of the Kensett Library Board, member of the Kensett Women's Club, Sunday School teacher, and choir member. Survivors include three children: Larry Dybvad and his wife Darla of West Des Moines, Joan Redenius and her husband Dave of Belvidere, IL, Sandra Martin and her husband Dan of Fort Collins, CO; five grandchildren, Scott and Kim Dybvad, Matthew Redenius, Benjamin and Angela Martin; two sisters, Lila Harris of Minneapolis, MN, and Marjorie Emmons and her husband James of Minneapolis, MN; two brothers, Mervil Christian and his wife Betty of Emmons, MN, Byrine Christian and his wife Joy of Albert Lea, MN.
