A Memorial and family gathering for Ardyne will be held Saturday December 12, 2009 from 2-5pm at Miller West Funeral Chapel, 6200 West 41st St., Sioux Falls. She died at home after a long and courageous battle with Pulmonary Fibrosis. A private family internment at Hills of Rest will be Monday December 14, 2009. Ardyne Marie Larson was born to Lars and Eleanor (Grey) Larson on May 14, 1937 in Howard SD. She married Leonard E. Stevens on December 14, 1953 and Waldo Blackman on August 29, 1969. Ardyne Marie Larson was born to Lars and Eleanor (Grey) Larson on May 14, 1937 in Howard SD. She married Leonard E. Stevens on December 14, 1953 and Waldo Blackman on August 29, 1969. Ardyne lived for over 30 years in Anaheim and Sunnyvale California. After retiring from El Camino Hospital in Sunnyvale CA. she moved to Salem Oregon briefly before moving back to Sioux Falls in 2000. At that time she enjoyed reconnecting with many of her cousins and old classmates. She made many new friends while living in Sioux Falls and enjoyed spending time with them. Ardyne especially enjoyed playing cards with her brother and nephew whenever they could get together. She had a deep and abiding faith in our Lord and Savior, living life with grace and joy, even in her darkest hours. Ardyne was preceded in death by her parents; husbands, Leonard Stevens and Waldo Blackman, sister, Judy Boyda, and step- daughter, Barbara Blackman.
