Description	:	Obituary courtesy of Bittner Funeral Home, Mitchell SD: Arlen Gale Bouza was born April 28, 1932 as the second child to George and Lillian (Varuska) Bouza, at the farm home east of Geddes, SD. He attended country school and Geddes Community High School. He joined the US Army on Sept. 6, 1949 and received his honorable discharge on April 18, 1952 after serving in the Korean conflict. He attended country school and Geddes Community High School. He joined the US Army on Sept. 6, 1949 and received his honorable discharge on April 18, 1952 after serving in the Korean conflict. After his military discharge Arlen worked pouring cement for the Fort Randall Dam and powerhouse until September 1954. On March 29, 1954 he married Janyce Arshem. They farmed the family farm east of Geddes until November 1981. Arlen and Janyce moved to Mitchell, SD, where Arlen was employed at Methodist Hospital as the manager of the laundry department and was voted employee of the month. He also worked at Queen of Peace Hospital and retired from Trail King as a wood decker in 1994. He enjoyed spending his life raising his children, fishing, hunting, and playing cards with family and friends. He especially enjoyed time with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, father and mother-in-law, Jim and Vivian Arshem, brother-in-law, Arnold Indahl and sister-in-law, Beverly (Arshem) Knorr.
