Description	:	Arlene Mossman was the third of eight children born to Chester and Elsie (Sauer) Nafziger in Spencer, SD, on Feb. 8, 1924. She died peacefully in her sleep, Feb. 11, 2004, at Eagle Cliff Manor in Billings. After graduation from college, Arlene worked at the Pentagon in Washington, DC, for the War Department during World War II. She died peacefully in her sleep, Feb. 11, 2004, at Eagle Cliff Manor in Billings. After graduation from college, Arlene worked at the Pentagon in Washington, DC, for the War Department during World War II. Then, she worked in the legal department for the Bureau of Reclamation and later at the insurance and other departments at the Billings Clinic until 1978. Arlene married Frank Mossman, June 11, 1949, at St. Patrick's Co-Cathedral in Billings and had celebrated 54 years together. They enjoyed traveling to 47 of the states, including Hawaii, as well as several cruises to Alaska, the Caribbean and the Mexican Rivera. She was real pleased that she was able to fulfill one of her mother's dreams by taking her to Rome and the Vatican and seeing the Pope. Arlene enjoyed reading, crossword puzzles, pinochle, whist, bridge, or any card game. She was a great cook and enjoyed preparing a good meal. She was a firm believer in the Christian way of life and was a charter member of St. Bernard's Parish. She was active in Altar Society, St. Christopher Circle, and a weekly hour of devotion. Arlene was close to and liked to be with her family and was always willing to lend a helping hand if needed. There are a number of people who will miss her good deeds over the years. Arlene is survived by her husband, Frank; her sister, Nan, of Billings; her brother, Frank (Eloise) of California; her brother, Bill (Fran), and brother, Jim, of South Dakota; sister, Margaret (Don), of California. She also leaves 21 nieces and nephews that are all special to her. Arlene, Nan, and Frank would like to extend our thanks to the kitchen, dining room, housekeeping, laundry, activites, therapy, and the nursing staff that made Arlene's two-year stay at Eagle Cliff Manor as comfortable as possible. Visitation will be 3:30 to 5:30 pm, Sunday, Feb. 15, at the Dahl Funeral Chapel. Funeral Mass for Arlene is 10 am, Monday, Feb. 16, at St. Bernard's Catholic Church. Burial of ashes will be in Sunset Memorial Gardens at a later date.
