Description	:	Arlene M. Eischeid passed away Monday, November 4, 2013 at the Golden Living Center, Neligh, Nebraska. Arlene, daughter of Jacob L. and Eleanor B. (Henkenius) Heil, was born October 21, 1921 at Elgin, Nebraska. Arlene was baptized and confirmed at St. Boniface Catholic Church, Elgin, Nebraska attended St. Boniface School through the 10th grade and graduated from Elgin Public (NE.) High School in 1940. Eischeid passed away Monday, November 4, 2013 at the Golden Living Center, Neligh, Nebraska. Arlene, daughter of Jacob L. and Eleanor B. (Henkenius) Heil, was born October 21, 1921 at Elgin, Nebraska. Arlene was baptized and confirmed at St. Boniface Catholic Church, Elgin, Nebraska attended St. Boniface School through the 10th grade and graduated from Elgin Public (NE.) High School in 1940. After graduation, she was employed as a clerk at the Elgin Drug Store and a teller at the Bank of Elgin, both of Elgin, Nebraska. On September 20, 1948, Arlene married Edward M. Eischeid at St. Boniface Catholic Church, Elgin, Nebraska. They began farming and in 1965 they purchased the family farm from Edward's mother. Arlene was a housewife, raising their four children: James, Paul Marian and Rita. After the family was raised, Arlene worked part-time at the St. Boniface School lunch program. In 1998, the couple moved to town. Arlene moved to The Willows, Neligh, Nebraska in 2009 and in October 2011, entered the Golden Living Center, Neligh, Nebraska. Arlene was a lifelong member of St. Boniface Catholic Church, a member of American Legion Auxiliary Unit #229 of Elgin, St. Boniface Quilters and St. Boniface Altar Society, where she was a past president and circle leader. Arlene is survived by: daughters: Marian (Doug) Wehr of Lexington, Nebraska and Rita (Bob) Kocian of Seward, Nebraska; daughters-in-law: Karen Eischeid of Elgin, Nebraska and LuAnn Eischeid of Omaha, Nebraska; 11 grandchildren; 14 great grandchildren; sisters: Della Ziemens of Chadron, Nebraska, Eleanor Starman of Neligh, Nebraska, Mary (George) Shoemaker and Rita Wright, all of Denver, Colorado; brother-in-law: Jack Penne of Columbus, Nebraska and a host of family and friends. Arlene was preceded in death by: parents; husband Edward Eischeid; sons: James and Paul Eischeid; son-in-law: James F. Kozisek; sister: Monica Penne; brother: Paul (Joan) Heil; In-laws: Alma Eischeid, Henrietta (Herman) Ridder, Bob Wright, Ed Starman, Tom Zemins, Leo (Josephine) Eischeid, and Joe (Angela) Eischeid, Jean (Ben) Koenig. A Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:30 a.m. Thursday, November 7, 2013 at St. Boniface Catholic Church, Elgin, Nebraska, with Rev. Ross Burkhalter officiating. Interment will follow in the parish cemetery.
