Description	:	Arletta D. Powers-Elliott was born September 12, 1930 in Lincoln, Kansas the daughter of Tont and Sylvia (McCormick) Morrison. She spent most of her life in Lincoln and was a clerk at the Duckwall-Alco Department Store before retiring. She had been an Abilene resident for the past 4 years. Arletta was a member of the VFW #7928 Auxiliary and was the volunteer manager of the Stop N Shop Thrift Store both in Lincoln. Arletta enjoyed reading, crossword puzzles, fishing, sewing, and crafts. She married Bob (Robert) on February 28, 1969 in Lincoln. He passed away November 12, 2004. She then married Paul Elliott on November 19, 2010 in Abilene. He survives of the home. Other survivors include: Daughters Eva Mosher of Wichita Terri Vipond of Manhattan Son Tom Feldkamp of Abilene Sisters Opal Baker of Abilene Ilene Munoz of Kanopolis Helen Eckelman of Auburn, Washington 10 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband Robert, sons John OBannon, Donald Feldkamp, Todd Powers; brothers Tont Morrison, Jr, Claude Morrison, Dale Morrison; sister Beverly Morrison; and her parents. Services for Arletta will be 11:00 a.m. Thursday, March 22, 2012 at the Martin-Becker-Carlson Funeral Home in Abilene with Reverend Robert Frasier officiating. Burial will be in the Abilene Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. - 7:00 p.m. Wednesday evening at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Dickinson County or to the Lincoln VFW Post #7928 Auxiliary and may be sent in care of the Martin-Becker-Carlson Funeral Home, 414 NW 3rd, Abilene, Kansas 67410.
