His childhood was spent in Marquette, and he was a graduate of Marquette High School and the University of Nebraska. On July 6, 1929, he was united in marriage to Mamie Berck in Bellevue, Kansas. Arild was a member of the United Methodist Church in Aurora, and the Lester S. Harter Post of the American Legion, and had been a member of the Aurora Rotary Club, where he served as treasurer and was named a "Paul Harris Fellow." He was employed by the 1st National Bank of Marquette, the Federal Land Bank and other government loan agencies for a number of years. He became cashier and later Vice President of the First National Bank of Aurora, where he served a total of 50 years in various capacities. His parents had preceded him in death. Those who survive to cherish his memory are his wife Mamie, a brother Holger Eriksen of Central City, and many nieces and nephews and friends and business acquaintances. Contributor: Don (46558676)
