Description	:	Passed away peacefully at home surrounded by family on Saturday, December 15, 2007 after a short, but courageous, battle with breast cancer. She was born March 20, 1937 in Ritzville, WA to Emil and Jessie Selcho. After graduating from Washtucna High School, she worked as a telephone operator in Ritzville until Milton Wahl returned from the Korean War and convinced her to elope with him. Read More	Passed away peacefully at home surrounded by family on Saturday, December 15, 2007 after a short, but courageous, battle with breast cancer. She was born March 20, 1937 in Ritzville, WA to Emil and Jessie Selcho. After graduating from Washtucna High School, she worked as a telephone operator in Ritzville until Milton Wahl returned from the Korean War and convinced her to elope with him. They were married on October 9, 1958 at the Hitching Post in Coeur d'Alene, ID. She was a devoted mother of three whose strong commitment to family earned her the title of Mother of the Year for the Inland Empire in 1978. She had an amazing array of talents that included sewing, quilting, cross-stitch, knitting, crocheting, pottery, gardening and cooking. She always had a handiwork project in progress. She was an accomplished pianist and soloist who found enjoyment in playing with the Gospel Opry in Spokane and Davenport. She was a loving wife, mother, sister and grandmother whose deep faith in God and family was a source of strength to all who knew her. Her spirit will be deeply missed by all those that were lucky enough to know her. She is survived by her husband of 49 years, Milton D. Wahl of Ritzville; her "special" son, Scott, of Ritzville; daughter Pam, and her husband, Jason Schillar of Sandpoint, ID; son, Randy of Moses Lake, WA; grandchildren, Christopher Wahl of Tacoma, WA, Brady Wahl of Ritzville, and Breanna Wahl of Moses Lake; sister, Betty and favorite brother-in-law Ed Faure, Jr. of Ritzville; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins; and her beloved furry friend and constant companion, Buffy. Per Jeanette's wishes, there will be a Funeral Service for family only at the DANEKAS FUNERAL HOME, RITZVILLE, WA, on Wednesday, December 19, 2007. Vault Internment at Ritzville Memorial Cemetery.
