Description	:	Bush, Arlo L., 88, died at home on April 22, 2009. He is survived by his wife of 67 years, Ruby, and their son, Jim Bush, and daughter-in-law, Judy, all of Hiawatha. Also surviving were two grandchildren, Jamie Bush and his wife, Carina, of Lenexa and Joe Bush and his wife, Kara, of Leawood, as well as great-grandchildren, Laney and Aiden. Arlo, the son of Dan and Cora Bush, was born in Benton, Kan., and graduated from Benton High School in 1938. Arlo, the son of Dan and Cora Bush, was born in Benton, Kan., and graduated from Benton High School in 1938. Following graduation, he went to work at Dillons on West Douglas, where he met his future wife. He and Ruby were married in Wichita on Pearl Harbor Day (Dec. 7, 1941). Following honorable service as Technical Sergeant in the Army Air Corps during WWII, he and Ruby returned to Wichita where he resumed his career with Dillons. A life-long grocer, Arlo worked for many years at Dillons, managing stores on East Douglas and South Broadway, where he was responsible for training many young people beginning their careers in the grocery business. Following a brief career in real estate, he and his wife ran a popular fruit stand at the corner of Greenwich Rd. and Harry St. until he finally retired in the fall of 2007. Graveside services were held April 24, 2009, at Benton Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions be made in Arlo's name to Hospice Care of Kansas, 808 S.
