Mass of Christian Burial will be at 1: 30 p.m. on Friday, April 16th at the Sacred Heart Chapel in St. Joseph’s Cathedral. She attended and graduated from Cathedral High School in Sioux Falls, SD in 1928. Armetha, who lived in the same home in Sioux Falls for seventy-nine years, was a member of the Legion of Mary and a charter member of St. Joseph’s Cathedral. In that church on October 3, 1928, she married Earl M. Rea. They raised four children: Armetha stayed at home while their children were young. When they got older, she started to work outside the home. She was the cashier/hostess at the Town ‘N Country Restaurant in Sioux Falls for many years. Later, she worked in the handbag and glove department at Fantle’s department store in downtown Sioux Falls until she retired. There were always flowers in her yard and often vegetables. She canned and from her plum trees and grape vines, she made delicious plum and grape jams. She was a wonderful cook and baker and nothing was better than her bread and rolls warm from the oven, except maybe the goodies she made from her rhubarb patch. She loved to knit and embroider and her family received numerous gifts of her handiwork. She is survived by her children: Donna Fechner, Sioux Falls, SD; Faye (LaMarr) Green-Hill, Las Vegas, She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, two sons-in-law: Jerry Green and Norris Fechner and one great grandson, Thomas Konrad, Jr.
