Description	:	Armin Delbert Doss, age 88, of Shakopee, MN, formerly of Eldora, IA, died Monday, March 17, 2014, at Emerald Crest in Shakopee. Funeral Service will be Saturday, March 22, 2014, 11:00 AM at St. John's Lutheran Church, 4th and Oak Street, Chaska, MN with The Reverend Greg Snow officiating. The visitation will be one hour prior to service at the church. Burial will be at Eastlawn Memorial Garden Cemetery in Eldora, Iowa. Memorials may be given to the MN Landscape Arboretum. Armin was born January 14, 1926 in Hubbard, IA, to Albert and Henrietta (Panthane) Doss, one of 5 children. Armin graduated from Eldora High School and then attended telegraph school in Carthage, MO. He served in the United States Navy from 1944-1946 during World War II as a radioman. On April 9, 1950 Armin married Anita Pogue in Ardmore, OK. They had two children. Armin was employed as an oil dispatcher and head scheduler for Occidental Petroleum Company for 32 years. After retirement he enjoyed woodworking, traveling, visiting with relatives, his grandchildren and most of all fishing with anyone who would take him. Armin was preceded in death by his parents, grandson, Darrell Cook, and brother, Max Doss. Survivors include his loving wife of 64 years, Anita; son, David Doss, of Shakopee; daughter and son-in-law, Debbie (Randy) Evans, of Eden Prairie; grandchildren, Ashley, Heather and Emily Doss, Chris Evans, and Andrew Evans (Monse Zambrano); brother, Ted Doss, of Hobbs, NM; sisters and brothers-in-law, Minnie (Ernie) Barz, of Eldora, IA, Pauline (Kenny) Barz, of Eldora, IA.
