Her life was spent in Davis and Van Buren counties. On February 26, 1917, she was married to Chester Brown. They have lived at their present farm home near Lebanon for 43 years. Remaining to mourn her passing are her husband, two sons, Bruce of Lebanon and John of Boise, Idaho, and a daughter, Mrs. Betty Humphrey of Joliet, Illinois, 9 grandchildren, 4 great grandchildren, and a sister, Mrs. Lora Day of Bartley, Nebraska, nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends. She was preceded in death by an infant son, 2 brothers, and 3 sisters. Mrs. Brown was a member of the Presbyterian Church and the Gray Ladies Aid. She will be remembered as a wife and mother who was devoted to her family, and as a loyal friend and neighbor. Funeral services were held Saturday, January 21, 1967, at 2 p.m. at the Lebanon Methodist Church, with the Rev. Dennis Nicholson, pastor officiating. Mrs. Beryl Beeler was the pianist. Pall bearers were Howard Shipley, Carl Doud, Arthur Poling, Cecil Zollars, Neil Newlon and Carl Brill. Interment was in the Lebanon cemetery. Source: Van Buren Co.
