Description	:	LAST RITES FOR ARNOLD MARTIN HELD WEDNESDAY Last rites were held for Arnold Martin at the Terril Methodist church, Wednesday afternoon, July 7, at two o'clock. Mr. Martin died in the Spirit Lake hospital Saturday, July 3, 1954, of a cardiac aliment which followed an illness of virus pneumonia about two and one-half years ago. He was taken to the hospital only a day before his death. The funeral services were in charge of the pastor of the Terril church, assisted by the pastor of Fostoria Methodist church. He was taken to the hospital only a day before his death. The funeral services were in charge of the pastor of the Terril church, assisted by the pastor of Fostoria Methodist church. Burial was in the Terril cemetery. Mrs. Harold Ehrp and Mrs. Reidar Oestenstead of Fostoria sang two duets, "Beyond the Sunset" and "Beautiful Isle of Somewhere." They were accompanied by Mrs. Parker, also of Fostoria. The Pallbearers were Earl Rose of Spirit Lake, Ray Shoemaker, Orie Grim, Chet Clausen, Walter Baumunk and Robert Hanson. Arnold Martin, the son of Mr. and Mrs. Marion Martin was born Dec. 20, 1910, and passed away July 3, 1954, at the age of 43. He spent most of his life at Terril, attending the schools and church at that place. He was married June 26, 1934 to Leona Grim, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Jake Grim of Fostoria. To this union, one son was born, Gerald, August 14, 1936. He is survived by his wife and son, his mother, Mrs. M. M. Martin, five sisters and three brothers. They are Mrs. Clarence Brown of Des Moines, Mrs. Walter Baumunk of Osgood, Iowa, Mrs. Chester Clausen of Superior, Iowa, Mrs. Ray Shoemaker of Milford, Mrs. Kerry Clark of Milford, Verl Martin, Inglewood, Calif., Gaylord Martin, Blyth, Calif., Glenn Martin of Estherville.
